The Thomas Hardy Museum

If there is such a place as the Thomas Hardy Museum, someone needs to get it publicised on the Internet.

You can visit Thomas Hardy's cottage in Higher Bockhampton, near Dorchester; but as far as I can make out it has no claims to be a museum (and it certainly doesn't call itself one). According to Wikipedia, "the largest Hardy collections in the world, donated directly to the Museum by the Hardy family and enscribed on the UNESCO Memory of the World register for the United Kingdom" are in Dorset County Museum in Dorchester.

OK, everyone knows that Hardy's county was Dorset. But there are loads of questions you could ask in order to extract this answer, many of which are based in fact.
